A new recording by Rabbi Michael Dushinsky – a Ba‘al Tefila with over 60 years of experience.
– Rabbi Dushinsky has been teaching the Nusach Tefila and has many students who take the lead of the Tefila in congregations throughout the world.
These students have learnt from him the melodies and harmonies of the traditional prayer service, which also includes understanding the words, correct pronunciation of the words – adherence to Hebrew principles.
Rabbi Dushinsky’s Nusach combines the classical, old and well-known “MiSINAI”-Ashkenazi Nusach, which originated in Eastern and Western Europe, and the “Yeshivot World” Niugunim. It also includes melodies by Hasidic dynasties such as Modzits and Gur, and combines new melodies and chimes, such as those of Rabbi Shloymele Carlebach and others.
The recordings were made by Rabbi Michael Dushinsky, in September 2021, Elul 5781, within the Jewish Community of Prague, Czech Republic, in the following sites:
– The “High” Synagogue;
– The Jeruzalémská Synagogue
– The Prayer Hall at the New Cemetery
In “normal” years Rabbi M.D. is the chief cantor in Marbella, Spain.
This year Rabbi Dushisnky will be holding the Tefilot and blowing the Shofar and read the Torah, as Chief Cantor, in the Prague community, at the “Old-New” and “Jeruzalémská” synagogues.
